Thomas P. Walsh, Jr.

Mr. Walsh was born and raised in Central Islip and attended St. John of God School and Central Islip High School.

He received his AAS degree in Mortuary Science from the McAllister Academy in New York City. He began managing the Funeral Home after the death of his father in 1963.

He met and married the former Patricia E. Doyle of Brentwood, in August 1969. They had three daughters, Stacey, Shannon and Megan. They continue to live in Central Islip.

Mr. Walsh is proud of his community spirit by serving as Chief of the Central Islip Fire Department, 1972-1978. He is presently a Fire Commissioner and serves as Chairman of the Board, Past President of the Central Islip Library Board of Trustees, member of the Knights of Columbus and member of AOH Division 7 and a lector and member of the Finance Committee of St. John of God Parish.

He is a Board member of the Nassau Suffolk Funeral Directors Association and is currently Treasurer of the organization.
